Aimpoint
3/30/2012 2:31:37 Take it outside and turn the brightness down. Mine looks a bit like a blob when it’s turned up really bright and it’s indoors or a darker environment. You don’t need it turned up very bright when outside. I can shoot stationary targets just as well as a stocked gun, and small moving targets…..as small as clays, are more difficult, but still enough hits to have had many afternoons of fun. I keep one pistol pistol grip 870, and one pistol pistol grip side folder, and have no worries. They would easily do any job they were called upon for. shadow870

Streamlight
8/2/2009 7:27:01 AM What ever you do, I would not spend money now on an incandescent light. LEDs are far more effecient, and recently the tint has essentially become a non issue. The “light bulb” replacement has become a moot point with LEDs as well. Because LEDs have become more effecient, I have essentially stopped buying CR123 lights. There are too many good, high quality, bright AA (and even AAA) lights out there, and the batteries are cheap and readily available (or just go with eneloops). Spend some time on candlepower forums in the led section, and you will see how many good quality lights there are out there. Fenix, Nightcore, RA, olight, eagle tac, quark, malkoff, etc.I use a Streamlight PT2L now while on duty and it has become my favorite light. Anyone try one of these on a rifle? If so, what mount do you use? Jason631
Vortex SPARC
8/18/2009 3:48:40 PM You should check out the MagPul Art of the Tactical AR15, Vol 1… in the extras section, Costa goes over some choices for gun cases, especially if you are travelling with them. He has a soft case that fits inside of a hard case… its trick, and it has provisions for like 4 locks, 2 of them at the ends, so people cannot pry the case open at the ends and get your guns.
